November 2012

Not much fishing (or catching!) was done in November (sigh…). One trip to the Thompson, one trip to the Methow and that's about it.

The long rods

Jim and I made one last foray to the Methow. The fish were very scarce, but it was good to get out.

Come on, steelhead!
We stopped by the Similkameen near Oroville on the way home.
Here's Jim at the Enloe Dam.

October 2012

October wasn't a fishing month, it was a wedding month!

Way to go Barry & Marie Soleil!

Dapper lads - me, Barry and Lucas (Best Man)

Parents of the groom enter The Library at Manteo where the kids were married

Marie Soleil arrives with Pierre, her dad

Barry arrives with Diane, Marie Soleil's mom

I do!

Awwww!

Marie Helen - Marie Soleil's sister, and
Alison, the ring-bearer and her new sister-in-law

The Woodwards with our newest family member: Marie Soleil!

Well, I guess we did a little fishing in October…

Success for Jim!

I have a sneaking suspicion big stoneflies hatch on this river!

Ahhhh, afternoon sun

You saw it here first - Wendy used her waders and boots
and went steelheading with me on the Methow River!

A bit of farming equipment ended up in the river

September 2012

Some of the Tunkwa Family turned 70, so we had a '70s party! Peace, man…

Trepanier Creek forest fire near Kelowna - looking towards Merritt. We made it past just in time.
Another view of the Trepanier Creek fire, looking towards Westbank.

First fish in my new Moby net. Thanks Wendy! :-)

August 2012

August means Bomber time at Tunkwa!

The mid-summer algae bloom usually means good fishing at Tunkwa Lake

Lots of boats out for the Bomber hatch

Who says it's never calm a Tunkwa Lake? I'd say this qualifies as a bluebird day!

Chipmunk apocolypse!

Joshua and Grandpa Don out to try their luck at Tunkwa Lake
I love Zipperlip Lake!

'Amazing that this Norman Lake fish grew this big! It might be even bigger now - I released it.

Very interestingly coloured chironomid pupa from Roche Lake
