December was a pretty low-key month, fishing-wise. We had a good winter break, though, and good visits with friends and family. Wendy's mom, Betty, came up and stayed with us for a few days at Christmas time. Wendy and I spent New Year's Eve in Winthrop, which was fun and interesting. We had some of the best Mexican food we've ever had in Omak, too, at Rancho Chico on the main drag. It's definitely worth a visit if you find yourself hungry in Omak.

I did manage to get a bit of fishing in. I hit the Adams River to shake off the shack nasties and hopefully christen my new Redington Dually 4109 switch rod, I hit Spences Bridge with Dean to swing the big rods for one last try at at Thompson steelhead, and I even fished the Methow on New Year's Eve! No steelhead on the Thompson and Methow this month, though.

October, 2013

October was, amazingly enough, a pretty busy month fishing-wise. Wendy and I attended the FlyBC Fall Fish-In at Roche Lake, and we also took our camper down to the Methow Valley for a weekend getaway to celebrate Wendy's birthday. It happened to be opening weekend for steelhead on the Methow, too, which was convenient. ;-) I made a couple more solo trips to the Methow and a trip to the Thompson, too. Until we stayed home to finish our deck, I don't think I'd been home for a weekend since June!

November 2012

Not much fishing (or catching!) was done in November (sigh…). One trip to the Thompson, one trip to the Methow and that's about it.

Jim and I made one last foray to the Methow. The fish were very scarce, but it was good to get out.
